Conversation Between Our Stone, Gold and Mercury

Clock - old knight - war

This is an alchemistically recent conversation between our stone of gold and Mercuriy, about the true material from which the philosopher's stone is prepared by the naturalists of the Lunian Vulcani Described

Disputation of Gold and Mercuriy, with the Philosopher's Stone.

A faithful philosopher writes thus:

By the Almighty God and by the blessedness of my soul, I show you this, you lovers of this heartfelt art from faithful efforts and compassion for long-sought seekers, that our entire work arises from only one thing and is accomplished in it itself and no longer needs dissolution and hardening. And this must happen on his own, without anything else.

Just like an egg placed over the fire in an earthenware vessel and turned into water by the heat; So also with our stone and no longer needs the help of the artist's hand work and the natural fire from himself, he ca n't do this if he lays in the ground forever, so you have to help him, but not so that you want him strangers and add disgusting things but just as God gives us the grain in the field and we have to grind it and bake it so that it becomes bread.

So here, too, God has created this waste for us that we can take alone, destroy the gross body, extract what is good within , eliminate the superfluous and make a medicine out of the poison . And so that you can understand it all the better, I want to write to you a fine conversation and disputation that took place between the Philosopher's Stone, Gold and Mercurio, so that those who are searching for a long time can easily come to the right reason when dealing with metals and minerals .

And it is necessary that one wants to learn to recognize every thing in the earth outside and inside and what it is fundamentally capable of in nature. Now the gold and Mercurius come once to a stone with an armed hand in order to overcome those who have the will.

And the gold became very defiant and said:

The gold. You poisonous worm and dragon, why do you rise above me and my brother Mercurium because I do that?

I am the highest, noblest and most stable metal and all princes and lords. Even the common man seeks their wealth in me and my brother Mercurio, since you are the enemy of all people and metals and show that the Medici praise me highly and praise me for the health of people.

Our stone.
To this our stone answers: Dear gold, why don't you get angry with God and ask yourself why he didn't create in you what is in me?

The gold.
GOD has given me the honor, beauty and fame that is why the whole world desires me because I am also the most enduring metal in the fire and outside the fire.

That is why I am loved by everyone, but you are fleeting and unfaithful, you look after people as you can see who work with you so that you escape from their hands.

The stone.
Dear gold, it is true, God has given you honor, beauty and stability and for this you should be grateful to God and not despise others next to you, but so you destroy me with untruth and I say: That you are not the real gold of it Philosophy write but the same thing is hidden in me.

Then whether it is true that I am fleeting in the fire, you know that I am and must be ordained for this by God and nature and my fleetingness compliments the work well and if he can take it off, the constant remains Soul lies in me that is much more stable than you gold and all your brothers and associates and no fire or water can consume it or destroy it because the world stands still, then I am not guilty of it if those who cannot work or prepare me properly are looking for me and I have often added foreign, disgusting things to me like water or powder and the like, thereby corrupting my innate nature and characteristics, and you will hardly find one in a hundred people who works with me, but everyone is trying to accomplish the art with you Gold and your brother Mercurio.

But that's why they all lack and work incorrectly, as you can see with all of them, that they achieve nothing and use their gold uselessly, then spoil it and end up in poverty .

You owe Sol the most because you know very well that outside of me there can be no real gold or silver but I alone can do it, why do you admit it ? that everyone in the world only works mostly with you and Mercurio and when you were sincere and wanted to act honestly, you would warn people of harm and that's why I can say with truth that you yourself are the deceiver.

The gold.
I want to prove it with the philosophers that art can be spent with me and my brother Mercurio then let the Hermetem write thus: The sun is his father and the moon is his mother whom I will be likened to the suns.

Item so writes Aristotle, Avicenna, Pliny, Serapio, Hyppocrates, Dioscorides, Mesus, Rasis, Averrhoës, Geber, Raimundus Lullius, Albertus Magnus, Arnoldus de villa nova, Thomas de Aquino, and many others that I omit to mention for the sake of brevity.

They all wrote loudly and clearly that the tinctures must be put together and composed as well as the metals of Sulfur and Mercurio and that the Sulfur should be red, incombustible and resistant to fire and that the Mercurio should be purigired loudly and clearly and wrote without any fuss call me by name publicly and say that in me gold is the well-cooked, constant, incombustible red sulfur, which is true and obvious to everyone that I am the most durable metal and have the very best sulfur that does not burn in the fire and is completely fiery.

Mercury.
Then Mercurius also fell for the gold with his speeches and said: What his Lord said was true. Br. the gold would have been reported and can be proven by the named masters. So also know that everyone knows in general what love and unity they have with each other above all other metals, which can only be seen clearly and evidently from this that if the goldsmiths and others of the same masters want to repay something, they cannot withdraw the gold and me mercury but instead quickly come together and unite without any burden and with little effort, what should n't be done with greater effort and more diligence and longer time and work?

Our stone.
Then our stone spoke again with laughing courage: Truly, you are both of you, both of you, both of you, resisting being laughed at with your evidence and taking me wonder especially from you, gold, as you who boast in many things and no longer have sense: I think that the old philosophers with theirs Writing in this way is simply written according to all common sense and wants to be understood immediately using the same words .

The gold.
These dressed masters have written no nonsense and all agree with one another with my virtue, but there are probably quite a few people who have sought my virtues and strength in other unseemly things than in various herbs, animals, blood, hair, sperm and the like and the same half was probably missing and something also misspelled; But the pre-recorded masters have good evidence that they really had the art and that is why their writings can be believed.

The stone.
I don't doubt that at all and it's all true that they certainly had the art, except for a few that you put on, because there were quite a few among them who didn't certainly have it but only wrote about what they heard, but where they only said When they call the names gold or mercury bad, they do so because they are ignorant and unworthy, thereby hiding the art of them because they know full well that they only fall into the name and the written recipe and process and basically do not think about the matter.

But the intelligent and diligent people who read with understanding and consider everything carefully how one thing agrees with the other and create a reason from it and thus invent the correct material from the speculatives and sayings of the philosophers, which no philosopher has ever publicly described or indicated with his correct names .

They themselves prove this by speaking where, according to common sense, we write most openly, that is where we have hidden art the most .

But where I speak through figures, parables and sayings, we have a lot of art under them and where they write about gold or Mercurio, they soon report and explain themselves and say that their gold is not common gold and their Mercurius is not common Mercurius bej because the gold should never be changed any further because of its perfection because it has already become a completely perfect metal and if you extract its color a hundred times if you work with it artificially you can no longer do it or make it tingiren than it has color and tincture in it.

That is why the philosophers write, One should search in perfect things and one will find perfection therein, as you may read in the Rosario .

Raymundus Lullius, whom you yourself called before a witness, writes the same thing , so anything that needs to get better doesn't have to be perfect; in perfect things, nothing changes; it spoils completely.

The gold.
I know well that you write that, but it may be understood by my brother Mercurio, who is still imperfect and if we both mix with each other, he will be made perfect by me because he is white; That's why the philosophists say: Art is entirely a homogeneity, that's why you see the good in people that no child can be born without a man and a woman, but with both of them mixed together. This can also be seen in all animals having life.

Our stone.
Your brother Mercurius is indeed imperfect, but he is the Mercurius the wise and if you both mixed together and stood in the fire for many years, it would also be impossible for you to be truly united with one another, but as soon as Mercurius senses the fire it will escape it from you into the higher and sublimates itself at the top and leaves you lying at the bottom or if you are combined with sharp water, dissolved, distilled and coagulated, then you still give more than a raw powder and pracipitate.

And if you throw it at the imperfect metal afterwards, it doesn't matter, but you only find as much of your gold as there was in the beginning and your brother Mercurium leaves you altogether. The Artzneij's searchers have experienced this sufficiently for many years and have done so with no small amount of damage.

But the fact that you refer to the saying of the ancients that art is entirely a homogeneity, and that no child can be born without a man and a woman, and in my opinion the philosophers want to understand you and your brother Mercurium through this, that is also not the case and is badly understood by you whether you write here with justice and truth.

And I tell you in truth that this is the cornerstone that the ancients laid against it and thousands of people came together.

My opinion is that life has to be the same with metals as with other things, and this is what happens to you as it happens to all false workers in art when you read such things in the Phylosophen Books, you basically don't give it any further thought as to whether it agrees with what has come before or after or not, because everything that the ancient philosophers described about art with such figurative words is understood only by me alone and by no other thing in the world because I alone do it and without me no right and true gold or silver can be made.

The gold.
God forbid, do not be afraid of sins and do not be ashamed of such lies that you are so presumptuous and assign everything that so many wise and learned people of this art have written many hundreds of years ago to you alone, who alone are a gross, poisoned and unclean thing You can and do confess that art is a homogeneity and you also say that outside of you as the universal, no real gold or silver can be made, yet knowingly you have searched for many things so diligently and diligently and many other ways are called so particularia found and may nevertheless make good use of it .

Our stone.
O dear gold, don't be surprised that I said this to you and don't ask me to lie so cheekily and ignorantly because I'm older than you and if I were wrong in this you should just spare my age because you know that one should honor one's age But I prove that I have said truth to save my honor, so I want to do this through your dressed masters, whom you cannot reject and I. Hermes writes thus: True but lies certainly and most certainly that this is so below is equal to that Above and what is above is equal to what is below so that one can achieve miracles and wonders - signs of one thing.

Item Aristotle writes: Oh, how strange a thing it is, it has everything we need in it, it kills itself and gets life from itself ; It marries itself, it impregnates itself, it gives birth to itself, it dissolves itself in its own blood and hardens itself again with it, it becomes white and red from itself and if we do nothing more about it, we change nothing but the earthiness and rudeness we separate from it.

Item of the Phylosopus Plato speaks of me thus: It is just one thing and has the same thing about itself a body, a soul, a spirit and the four elements over which it lives and there is no need to borrow anything from other bodies because it gives birth to itself from it alone and all things are in it. And I could present you with a lot of their testimonies because it's not necessary, but I'll leave it alone for the sake of brevity.

But the fact that you report particulars gives you such an opportunity; A number of people have come so far with me that they have been able to strip me of my tingling spirit and have mixed it with other metals and minerals and, through a lot of work, brought it to the point where I give a little less of my virtutibus and strength to the metals, thereby giving something to me and relatedly preserve: But very few people advised and found it without any danger and because they did not know the origin from which the tinctures come, they did not continue with it afterwards and it was of no particular use.

But if the artists had looked for my own wife and united me with her, I could have tinged a thousand times more, because they only corrupted my nature with foreign things. Therefore, even though something important has been found to count against my right power, it still comes from me and from no or no other thing.

The gold.
You have not hereby proved sufficiently whether they wrote about one thing alone that has the four elements and a body and a soul and spirit in it. By doing so, they want to give the tincture to understand when it is ready to be brought to a perfect end; Nevertheless, in the beginning it must be reported and put together by me Gold and my brother Mercurio as from male and female semen as before and when we have been boiled and become a tincture then we are both a thing of it as they write.

Our stone.
It's not like that at all, and I told you this before, that it 's not possible for both of you because you're both not one corpus but two and you're fundamentally disgusting to nature. But I have a perfect body, a pure, penetrating, tingling, unstable spirit , as well as a clear, bright, fleeting, impermanent Mercurium, and I am only able to do this, so that both of you can boast and yet you are not able to do so, because in me that is the philosopher.

Gold and that Magi Mercurius.
That's why the ancients write: Our stone is not visible and our mercury cannot be obtained from the soft, real bodies and neither can be accomplished without the other. That's why I alone can produce male and female seeds and am completely homogeneous.

I am also called Hermaphrodite, as Richardus Anglicus also testifies, and says: The first material of our stone is called Rebis, which is a thing that by nature has a twofold property in it has hidden and is also called Hermaphrodite, which is a material that one cannot clearly tell whether it is a man or a woman because it leans towards both parts, which is why it is made into a medicine from a thing which is the water of the body and mind.

Therefore it is said that this medicine cares for many fools through its fragments, but the art only requires one thing that is well known to everyone and that many people desire and yet it is all the same, nothing can be compared to it and yet it is small and certainly cheap but you should do it do not despise it because it does and spends wonderful things.

Alanus Phylosophus says: Workers of this art, you should have a constant will in your work so that you don't start working and trying for a while or another time, because art does not lie in the number of species, but in body and spirit . And for a truth, the medicine of our stone is a thing, a vessel, an assembly that all mastery begins with one thing and ends with one thing.

No matter how the philosophers give many other ways to conceal the art than constant cooking and mixing, sublimating, rubbing and drying and with whatever means it can and may be called, the dissolution of the body does not then take place in its blood.

Geber writes thus: At the heart of Mercurial's nature is the sulfur which boils and digests it through long persistence in the veins of the mines.

With this you have sufficiently transferred dear gold that it is in me alone and that I alone can do everything without your help and all your brothers and companions and I have no need of you at all but you all need me because I can make you all perfect and raise you in degree than you are by nature.

Then the gold got angry and didn't know what to say but instead took action with his brother Mercurio They both became one and they both wanted to help each other because their two and our stone were only one and because they didn't want to win him over with desputation, they wanted to kill him with the sword using their power.

And when the fighting began, our stone released its strength and destroyed and overcame them both and devoured them so that no one could see them at all where they had come.

So, my love and God-fearing ones, you have a true and sufficient report to understand the foundation of the highest and most precious treasure, for no Phylosopher has ever exposed himself so far and made it known.

Therefore, nothing else is necessary for you, but that you ask God to grant you the opportunity to share in such a precious jewel.

Then sharpen your reason and sharpen your senses and read with understanding and work diligently and do not rush with these precious works because there must be a natural time have like the fruit on the tree or the grapes on the vine and be of good will and concern, God will give you nothing else; for God gives it or holds it before those who want to do evil with it .

GOD give you his blessing Amen
