Bright, silver, milky-dropped from the white Lily of the Valley of Josophat.
The source of miracles.
I prefer all the same who seek God and the truth; they alone will find art.
I am the magnet stone of divine love that draws iron-hard men along the path of truth.
I am the juice that sustains everything in nature and gives life to it, and I come from those above to those below; I am the dew of heaven and the fatness of the earth; I am the fiery water and watery fire, without me nothing can live in time; I am close to all things, yes in and through all things, yet unknown.
Nevertheless, I alone am the philosopher's hand.
I open and close it again, that brings the artist peace of mind.
Without me you won't be able to do anything that serves your things; Therefore fear God, pray and work with patience, if you find me, you come from need, and you have a gracious God who is kind to you and gives you what your heart desires. This sap must be caught before it turns into vapor or smoke.
The two fumes or smokes are the roots of art.
The Prima Materia has its support from the fiat and word of creation.
And the Word is from the Father, by whom all things were made, and the Spirit proceeds from both, and is the divine quickening air.
So the air in the elements makes all things alive.
Fire warms all things, water refreshes, refreshes and waters all things; and the nitrous earth, as a mother, nourishes and sustains all things; So the fire has pierced the air, and the air in turn inflates the fire so that it lives; but the air changed into water is the food of the fire, and in this element, water and basic moisture, as in the greasy, fatty basic moisture, the fire burns, and the earth, as a holder of nitrogen salt, is enough food for it, and all of these live in its belly Elements, for in this belly is the sulfuric salt of nature, the one good thing that God has created in this visible world.
The same salt mother of the elements is the nitrous, aluminous, spiritual, gumous water, earth or crijstal, which nature has in her belly, a son of suns, and a daughter of the moon.
It is a hermaphrodite, carried by the wind in its belly; a phoenix, living in fire; a pelican that brings its dead young back to life with its blood; the young Icarus drowned in the water, whose suckling mother is the earth, the wind his mother, the fire his father, the water his cleanser and drinker, a stone and no stone, a water and no water, and yet a stone of living power, and a water of living power; a sulfur, a mercury, a salt, which nature carries hidden within her and which no unwise person has ever known or seen.

Quote of the Day
“This Spirit is found in all Metals, more abundant in other Metals than in Gold, because Gold, by reason of its well digested, ripened, and fixt body, is tight, close, and compact, and therefore no more can enter into its body than is just requisite; but the other Metals have not such fixt bodies, for their pores are open, and far extenuated, therefore the Tincture Spirit can the more abundantly pass thorough and possess them. But because the bodies of the other Metals are inconstant, the Tincture cannot remain with those inconstant bodies, but must depart.”
